hello everybody from the SAAB 99 forum,
here on my desk I have some pictures from a rare company brochure of the OSI (Officine Stampaggi Industriali) from Turin. From about 1960 to 1968 OSI was active as a car manufacturer. In Germany the best known and most successful model was the Ford OSI 20M TS,based on the Ford Taunus 20M (P5). With the end of the production of this model in 1968, OSI quits the production of cars completely and worked thereafter as a supplier to the automotive industry, eg. in the equipment of pressing plants or the construction of dies for car bodies. In this brochure, probably from the early 70s, OSI presents exactly this service and also refers to OSI’s own prototype department. One page shows a picture of the prototype workshop with a car, that I think is the SAAB 99. Also the title of the brochure shows a side panel of the same car.
Now the question to all SAAB experts – is anyone out there who knows something about the collaboration between OSI and SAAB?
I am thankful for any further information.
thank you very much
