Christian: Thanks for starting the thread, just received the Hot-Spark in the post today and what a difference. I fitted it to my 71′ 96 and when fitted it started first turn of the key, the timing was a little off, but not much, just a couple of degrees, not the 30 degrees that has been noted. So easy to set the timing now, clean constant spark means there is no stutter in the strobe and getting it spot on to the timing mark takes no time at all. Definitely recommended to those that are thinking of getting one. Will order a second one for my Porsche 924, am hoping for the same results with that.
I have only taken the 96 for a short drive and it feels a lot better and smoother, will write again if I come across any problems after it has been on a few longer drives. Now to see what I can do to get rid of the clunking noise from the engine, don’t think that will be just a bolt on quick fix.
