    Yes there will be only 10 licenses to produce electric cars, but as I said before on this site:
    -NEVS is owned to 57% by China – via two state owned companies – see article in DI.
    -China will obviously grant licens to NEVS, but has ordered replanning to fulfill formal requirements.

    • From what I’ve heard, it’s more like 10 licenses per car type (SUV, sedan, etc). And New Long Mas, who Nevs is a part owner of, already has one of these kind of licenses. But Nevs still have to focus on China right now, to get a license for Nevs 9-3.

    I am afraid that JÅJ – for once – did the wrong thing: signed the false document saying money was from Ukraine importer – while in reality from Antonov. JÅJ resigned the day after – he should have resingned instead of giving in for VM.

      did not know about that Ukraine thing, but I wasn’t following the case either.
      As I’ve already said, if somebody writes about it, then it should be someone with in-depth knowledge of the case.

    Worst crime in Sweden, EU and the US is not murder or rape – it is moneylaundering.

    The prosecutor claims that Antonov supplied the money VM needed to pay off GM – it could then be moneylaundering.

    Next worst thing is cheating on taxes – prosecutor claims that VM did not pay tax on his salary.

      1) They tried prosecuting VM already. The tax authorities believed that a contractor could not act as an interim CEO. The courts said ”yes, he can”, then the prosecutor appealed and was turned down again. (This particular lawsuit was _very_ moronic to say the least!)

    I am a bit disappointed. One of the outstanding questions of the demise of SAAB, is the accusations of wrongdoing by VM, JÅJ and KG. There was a development of that yesterday, and there will shortly be a trial.
    I believe that this is of great interest for the SAAB Community, but not a single word in SU.

The Swedish prosecutor went on record basically saying that the case was one giant fishing expedition. That the big buffoon was not hung out to dry in the Swedish media is a big mystery to me.

    The sad thing is that Antonov was – contrary to Muller – a SAAB-fan – he had owned a MY -98 SAAB 9000 AERO.

    Monique, Muller bought SAAB from GM – with practically no up-front money – because that was the easy way out for GM. When M had to pay up, he did the famous ”Ukraine scam”, which got JÅJ to resign.

    The Gen-2 9-5 was designed by Opel/SAAB in Ruesselsheim, where it was supposed to be built. The Phoenix show car was designed by Castriota.

    Angelo, Kai Johan has sold – 52% – to China – he is in the dry.

    NEVS will not sink SAAB – that was done by GM and Muller. NEVS has nothing, whatsoever, to do with SAAB.

    Muller was not capable of designing beautiful cars – nor SAAB:s. He is -being nice – a no-good horsetrader.

    Obvioulsly there will be three years of gen.1 -rebuilt 9-3- which obviously will not be competitive. No sweat – NEVS is owned by China – all cars are sold ”internally”

    Monique, there is no planned start up of the complete THN plant – only press/bodyshop and paintshop. Since there is – yet – no paintshop in China, all bodies will be fully painted.

    Since there will be no final assembly, there will be no girls with forklifts. 😮

I can also add: since NEVS is owned to 52% by State of China, first three years of production of Gen.1 cars (150.000) are sold to state owned companies, probably for use by state employees, which of course means that performance is secondary, but also that Brand goes down the tube.     Jonathan: Rolf Mellde and some engineers/ mechanics saved SAAB, by installing 300 Ford V-4 engines during vacation – that is SAAB Spirit.

    Saab AB has officially said, that there are no ongoing negotiations – I tend to belive them, especially since the Wallenberg Group is using the SAAB brand in their silohuoette racing cars.

    • That’s if you believe NEVS has long term intentions on THN. My personal belief is that they are talking the talk while it serves them, but in the future, will pull up stakes and walk the walk to China. They will extract what they need, while they need it, then leave an empty facility.

      • Of course NEVS (Notoriously Elusive Vaporware Syndicate) will walk away from THN when it’s expedient for them.

        • The question Mick, becomes ”When will that be?” I think it might be a lot sooner than some of the fans realize.     Len, I suggest you hook up 12V to the wipers. Remove the upper firewall – 4 screws, and you get access to cable.

    If nogo – change drive unit. Easy to get in Sweden from second hand dealer – probably more difficult in the US.

    I always carry a DI-cassett in my MY-97 9000 T Jubilee, 310.000km and use my MY-15 BMW for long trips.
