I have transferred the details over from the old forum.

I Have Been Able to find an early 1999 for rallying, so maybe sometime of you Will be happy to hear Thats my ’76 EMS is Safe smile.
Actually I owned this car 10 years ago, the saved it and got it roadworthy and I’ve just Bought it back from the guy in it to the soldier.
The seats ARE shot & the body work hock tired paint, But no root.
I do not know-when the serious work Will Start, But at least, i have found a good shell.

1709cc engine with freewheel gearbox, I Do not Think This Will Take to tuning very well racesmile

It’s Been sometime since in posted anything, but i Have Made Some Progress With The ’71 shell, in stripped it out and removed all of the underseal and soundproofing, i have today started Removing brackets That goodwill no longer ask Needed, all for the sake of weight reduction.

Before I started work on it to put Together a chassis tilts, this made work so much Easier and Helps to carry out a much better job.

I Used an old screwdriver to remove the underseal, i think with the underseal-being old and brittle helped!

Underseal removed and the original factory primer wiped down with white spirit.

Fuel tank area, just A Few rough patches, no rot, just a bit into the boot corners, easy repair smile

        The entire floor

Some more progress with the shell lightening, i have removed all of the soundproofing from the inside floor, the same method was used as with the underseal, screwdriver and then wiped down with some white spirit.

            Passenger side removed…

            Everything removed 🙂

I have also cut out the centre of the parcel shelf, the steel is quite thick and it is also covered in soundproofing like on the floor, the piece i cut out weighed 3kg, this is also a good weight saving because it is quite high up the car.

Nice! Looks like the shell is in good shape.
