Previously I have driven my 96 during winter with dubbdäck and have been very happy with the performance. When I got my new Greenish 96 it had dubbdäck with the dubb removed. I can’t see this being a good solution but I wonder if someone can answer the following.
– Are dubbdäck uttan dubb legal as winter tires, and/or summer tires.
– What type of performance would I get from them during winter, compared to friction tires. All help appreciated.

Legal year around. Probably they’re old and w/o grip. Theese tyres as summer tyres will wear quicker, make more noise and have worse wet grip than regular summer tyres
Jol: Thanks for the information. Next year I will put the summer tires I have from my old car on but I think I need to look around for some dubbdäck that will fit the car for winter. Tend to get a lot of hard ice on the roads in my area and even if the tires are legal they are old and I don’t think it will be much fun if the winter gets bad.
november 27, 2013 kl. 12:37 #61286Gary, regarding the legal aspect; you can drive your 96 in Sweden all year long with summer tires. Veteran cars (30 years or older) aren’t obligated by law to use winter tires. :race
