      Unfortunately the car is not accompanied by a service history, but it has undergone a recent accurate mechanical, body-work and inside overhaul (see above “Equipment and Features”) . The most recent service was completed at 270.000 kilometers in May-June 2021 by vintage-classic cars specialists, mechanics, body repairers and upholsterers .

        Hello!
        Thank you for offering your nice low pressure turbo 900 from 1991.
        I agree this classic is a very nice car indeed. I have an almost exactly identical red one with 200 300 km on the meter.
        Leather seating are unusual (exclusive) on the Swedish market so is the AC on this model which we call 900S. I was positively surprised over the possible market value of my car
        equipped with the same extras.

        In lovely Tuscany the climate is way better you should have almost no rust. I recommend some pictures up front showing this. There are a number of known weak points…..
        272 000 km says something about if not immediate need but near future need of ”looking over” the engine and transmission. I am thinking of the turbo, some bearimgs (5fth gear)
        and ”drivaxelknutar (in swedish)” ”transmission shaft knot?” for example.

        In my opinion your suggested price would motivate this extra information.

        For a SAAB enthusiast change of the cloth on the ceeling is almost standard if you can do it yourself.

          Dear Adam, thanks for your kind feedback . I’m glad that you appreciated the car and I will happily reply to your annotations :

          – I guarantee that there is no rust at all, please find attached the pictures down below
          – As for the engine, it works perfectly and so the gearbox / shifter which is easily handy
          – Regarding the transmission, I changed both clutch and CV joints
          – Eventually, the ceiling cloth is brand new as you can see from the photos during the mounting

            Dear Stefano!
            Thank you for your reply and the extra pictures. They will help to judge your nice SAAB which became a classic this year (30 years in Sweden).
            I have a comment regarding IMG_1018.jpg (last in the upper row). To me the rust in the lower left corner is just above the critical joint. (”länkarmsinfästning” in Swedish).
            The Swedish car test authorities are extremely sensitive about these joints.

            I see that you have put in a lot of effort to refurbish your coupe. I think it will get appropriate interest. Good Luck.

            PS. I am not an expert on tire dimensions. I know that in my car approval document there is a specification of the tire dimension to (max?) 195 SR 15. I saw that yours were 205. But there are
            members here much better regarding these regulations for classic cars.

              Regarding the tire dimensions, please note the attache photo of the Italian Registration Certificate ; as you can see, there are three dimensions admitted : 185, 195 and 205 : In my opinion the last one (205) is the most beautiful .

                Thanks for providing the extra information. I hope your classic SAAB will find a proper new owner, perhaps in its native country.

                I once drove my 900S down to Bel Aria, where I have married-in relatives (my uncle fought at Monte Casino and married an Italian girl) and I love Tuscany. Firenze is one of my favorite towns,
                the home town of Leonardo da Vinici. He invented a lot but not he SAAB 900S -;)
                Driving along in the countryside in Tuscany is even more special.

                      Think of a caravan of a number of SAAB 900 Turbo Cabriolets and nice SAAB 900 S and T16 coming down to Sansepolcro -;) -:)
                      These cars are special. I can think that people are looking after yours when you come driving stylish down the street.
                      Here in Sweden it is somewhat easier to get spare parts for these classics but it is getting harder and harder each year.
                      I would not sell my 900S. It is a much more youthful car to drive than many new ones.
