Jag har införskaffat en Weber 34ICH till min V4-68. När jag öppnar kartongen upptäcker jag till min förvåning att den har en pluskabel. Vad är detta för en mojäng? Jag läser i reservdelslistan om ”Lågfartsmunstycke med elektrisk avstängning”? Vad har den för funktion? Ska den kopplas över egen säkring, eller?

If I remember correctly this cabel should be connected to ignition 12V. The sense is to close the fuel-supply if the ignition is turned of. And to allow fuel-flow only if ignition is on.

Then it is exactly as a proper racecar, isn’t it?
I also thought it was a on / off for the fuel feed first and the connection mentioned is correct. However after studying the Weber handbook I think this function gives a richer fuel feed in the first minutes after it is turned on (at start when it is cold). I also have a theory that the coil look a like part heats up, and this is when it reduces the fuel feed back to normal.
Anyway the carburetor is very good –> performant and forgiving, good choice
