      Jag är fransk och har nyligen anmält mig till SSK.
      Vet någon om det krävs bränsletillsats för en 900i från 1987 och en 900 T16 från 1986 och 1989? Jag pratar om blyersättning.
      Tack för hjälpen.

      I’m French (living in south of France) and recently joined the SSK.
      Does anyone know if a fuel additive is required for a 1987 900i (Ron 95 mini) and 1986 (cab Ron 91 mini) and 1989 900 T16 (Ron 91 mini) ? I’m talking about lead substitute.
      Thanks for your help

        Hello and welcome to SSK!

        No one of the cars need lead substitute.

        If i remember right so is Saabs up to 1983 required lead substitute.

        Saab 99 - 1984 med B202 (16V turbo++)
        Saab 9-3 Vector Active 2.0t BioPower SportCombi - 2008

          Hello!

          I agree with Johan-99T16.   If I remember correctly after 1985 all SAAB cars do not require the lead-additive.

          HOWEVER! be ware that modern fuels  E5 and E10 are breaking down classic fuel resistant (nitrile [NR]) rubber.  Pull out your fuel pump and examine the rubber parts in the bottom of the tank. If they are degraded the you risc the clogging of your fuel system!

          Best Regards  (Bon soir)

            Tack Adam och Johan,

            Yes, I noticed this phenomenon and replaced the rubbers on the tanks that had become soft and those on the fuel pumps that had melted…

            I was also wondering then if there was a product which mitigates the effects of the 5% ethanol in unleaded petrol (E5)…

            I would like to take this opportunity to ask you if it is better to also put an additive in a 2007 9-5 Biopower when filling with ethanol?
