Hi – I have tried the car covers from Biltema in the past, the blue ones in nylon, and was disappointed, but when my V4 developed a leak on the windscreen that I have not been able to seal I decided to try one of the new one silver polyester ones, after the amount of rain we have had over the past week I was impressed that nothing got through. For once their product lives up to the description ”De silverfärgade polyesterkapellen är helt vattentäta.” There is some dampness under the cover but no water. The following image shows the cover over the roof rack which filled up and didn’t leak through. I empty it every day, yesterday it was full to the top.
The V4 doesn’t quiet look the same when the car cover is put on while the roof rack is still fitted.
Anyone in the same position as me, can’t keep the car in the garage all the time, then I would recommend the new covers, at least for temporary coverage. Better than open to the elements.
Har tänkt lite på ett sådant. Men det är de där med fukten underifrån som man håller kvar under skynket.
Hur är de på undersidan? Finns det risk för repor på bilen?MVH
'- 9-3 Aero 2,8T XWD TX Edition, Hirsch Performance -10
- 9000 CC 2,3 Turbo 16 Sport -91 när det är sommar
- 96 GL V4 Super -79 när vägen svänger
- 90 T16 -87 när jag ska överraskaMagnus – The inside is smooth and doesn’t seem to leave any marks however I must agree with Dicst that this is not a long term option, as soon as the weather clears it is coming off again. I am hoping I will have a better solution for keeping the car out of the weather when winter comes again.

Biltemas ”Car cover” repar lacken. Googlar hittar man ett företag uppåt landet som säljer repfria dito, kostar en tusing till en Sonett.
Kaparn – I do agree, the cover is not the best solution, but when you are getting over 40mm rain a day for a couple of weeks, its better than having the car fill up with water. The cover comes off as soon as the weather clears up, even if only for a couple of hours. If I can find the budget this year I will be looking at putting up a Dancover, there is a sale on at Coverstore at the moment, but, maybe later in the year.
