Hello from Italy!
I recently found an engine from a reseller with an interesting plate:
I can’t find any information about it. I have never seen such a plate on a Saab engine before, so I wanted to ask you guys if anybody knows anything about Laxa and Saab collaboration.
Special vehicles often refer to police, ambulance or fire brigade. I know that ”ANA specialbilar” in Trollhättan modified Saabs for this type of usage. There might be other firms that did similar work. The mentioned name LAXA could be Laxå which is a swedish city a bit south of Örebro.
This is just a guess, and only valid for Sweden.
B204 engine was available 1994-2000. Is it a ng900/og9-3 engine or a 9000? Are you sure about it being reconditioned?

Also one of the main problems is that the parts guy is not telling me exactly where the engine came from since it has been sitting in the storage for so long. I am planning on swapping the engine to an Opel Tigra A chassis with standalone engine management system so it doesnt really bother me, but I wanted to know the history behind it, I am just curious.
