Couldn’t resist putting this out. After replacing the rear spring plates on my V4 I decided to photograph the old parts to show a friend up north, it was only when I looked at the photos that I realised there is more to the phrase ”eaten up with rust”, meet Rusty.
Now that he has been captured, hopefully the rear end will remain rust free, but I think one of his friends is still busy up at the front. Investigation pending!
Enjoy – Gary McConnell
PS – Mats A, thanks for the spring plates, the car goes back in for a control tomorrow, shouldn’t be a problem now.28 juli, 2006 kl. 00:17 #97026
Haha… you could probably sell that character to an animation production house… that’s amazing!28 juli, 2006 kl. 05:29 #97027
I come to think of Ötzi, the 5000 year old man found on the border between Austria and Italy. Ötzi does not have that big smile on his face, but then he probably never sat in the back of a Saab.

Now I see why you had to change ”Rusty”, Gary!
Take Rusty to the Saabdealer and ask about the rustwarranty…..

Maybe I should put it out on ebay, people have sold some rediculous things like half eaten cheeze sandwiches.
Hopefully no more of Rusty’s family is living in my Saab, or any other Saab.

That would be a good idea!

I think this thread is completly thrashed now…
