I have been doing some drawing work to build a wooden service ramp that I can use in the garage for both cars, 1973 Saab 96 and a 1975 MG Midget. I know the Midget is small, and the 96 isn’t the biggest car, but when you put the two together you realize just how small the MG Midget really is.

I have double checked the scaling of both images and they are correct. Its going to be fun, and scary, when I get the Midget out on the road, don’t think there will be much motorway driving in it.

After a few more hours work I have finished the drawings for the wooden service ramp, haven’t made one yet, that will happen in the coming weeks.

If anyone is interested in the drawings you can download them from the following links, I have 3 drawing sets, Midget 1500, Saab 96, and the combined one that I would be building.

Just note that I am not an engineer and haven’t tried producing technical drawings for 20 odd years, so bear with any errors or omissions.

Just an update as I have moved the PDF files to another place on my website and hate leaving dead links around incase people are looking for things. If you go to my website, http://www.car-id.biz, and click on the menu item Project Drawings, you will find all the service ramp drawings there. I have also added two new car ramp drawings, Sonett and one that will fit both the Sonett and 96.
