Hej!

Sorry, I have to write in English, Swedish is not one of my languages.

I have the same problem on my 1978 SAAB 96!
I have been told that if you wash the rubbers in warm water water, and then rub glycerine into them, they become like new.
I will be trying this in the next few days, and will report back.
I was also told to fit them using double sided tape, this stops them shrinking back, because they are stuck to the door.

        Regards

Hi Andy! Thanks for your input. Sounds like a smart thing to do, that with the double sided tape. Looking forward to hear more about the cleaning of the rubbers! Regards Klas Carlborg

Well I can say that washing them in warm soapy water, and rubbing glycerine into them certainly makes the rubber come up like new.

However sticking them on with double sided tape, did not work. They started coming off the door within 48 hours.
Perhaps I should have used better quality double sided tape….

I have a spare rubber, so I have cut off a small piece, and have now added it in to make up the short length, , and used bathroom sealant to stick the rubber/trim assembly to the door. This seems to be working.

            Regards

            Andy
