I bought a 900 1988 2 liter kat in the north of Sweden with 180000km I drove it 5000km to my home in Spain.

I own a 900i 88, and it has two rust spots, one in the wheel arch and another in one of the front doors. Because of my work I do not live where I have the cars, I would like to know if there is any product I can apply so I can stop the rust process until I have time to repair it.
I changed the distributor of my car last week, but I found that there is a small connector close to the distributor that apparently goes to no where. I enclose pic, can anyone point the place where should be conected. The engine is a 1988 2.0i kat

I am about to buy a 900. Among otheres it has 2 problems. 1 is that I need to replace the exhaust system and perhaps the windshield as well. The windshield has an scratch, do I have to replace for the anual Swedish inspection. Is it expensive to replace both exhaust and windshield?
thank you. I asked the owner and he confirm that it cames from the steering column system, but the steering wheel still turn around, so I asume it shouldnt be quite expensive to repair.
