I own a 900i 88, and it has two rust spots, one in the wheel arch and another in one of the front doors. Because of my work I do not live where I have the cars, I would like to know if there is any product I can apply so I can stop the rust process until I have time to repair it.

I got this hint from a guy here at this forum. A product named Owatrol Oil, intended for marine applications but very well suited for stopping and protecting cars from rust. It is available at e.g. Watski in 0,5 litres can for 143SEK. Well spent money, does the job.
