Adjust engine bonnet

I had a problem with the upper radiator hose. I replace it and now I realiced that the crack was caused by the bonnet brace hitting the hose, and also that brace hits as well the distributor wires. It is unbeliveable but is true. (you can see the red arrows pointing at the contact points, white spot clearly view in the brace of the bonnet. I also found two rubbers shims (blue arrow) over the body spots where the bonnet leans. I think the previous owner install a long distance lights as you can see in fron of the grid, and he put this rubber shims so when the bonnet is open never touch the lights. I am not interested in the lights so how can I fix this mess, if I remove the rubber shims do you think the bonne will fly over the hose and the distributor( apparently not, but just in case). I have just install another engine mounts so the engine should be in place, I also have checked that before the I put the new mounts I already have the problem, so is not a problem of new mounts.
From outside the bonnet apparently fits quite well.
