Today my 900 B201 H split oil. The engine compartiment is splited with oil. I could checked the distributor and the oil hatch and the link doesnt come from that places. I also checked the cooled deposit and is free of oil, the car doesnt loose power so I think that the engine cam joint is fine. What do you think could be…
Also last week I feel a sound in idle like the timming chain sound…, but as I said, no loos power. When should I change the timming chain?
Last week in the garage they change the engine mounts, could be something related?

Any photos of the engine? I think that could help determine where the oil comes from.
Are you sure it is motor oil or can it be servo fluid?

Hi If there is oil all over it could come from a too high pressure in the crankcase Make sure all hoses are as they should Remove the oil stick and fel IF gas comes out there with the engine at different speed IF it does and is much the gasket between engine body and top might leak Hope not /Gunnar

You mean that I should start the engine and check if it leaks from the rocker covers, right? I was thinking about starting the engine because the mechanic here in Spain who helps me with the 900 is quite busy with Ferrrari from people that cames from America for vacation and he is delaying the repair. I cant press him anymore. So is it safe to fire the engine in this conditions? CAn I make the break down get worse? Today I check the garage and the thread in the floor was dry so I think that may be wasnt oil, but the level of cooling liquid was ok.

Tomorros I will try to post some pics, but as far as it all flooded with oil or whatever be…, dont know if that help.

It looks as you might have a leak here.
If the coolant blows out here, the fan will will make it cover most of the engine bay.

The enige will have to be warm before you get enough pressure to see if it leaks here

                leak

Ok, thank you, could be that because it is liquid, not oil.
Do you think the sound is unusual, its sounds like the valves or the timing chain. What do you think?

Finally I checked this morning that hose, and it was the culprit. IT has a leak where you point at. CAn you recomend a website where I can find an OEM part? IT is not expensive part so I prefer to use an OEM. Another question si for replacing just release the brackets and replace the hose. But my concern is if there is going to be liquid in the hose? should I drain it before replacing or just use a bin to collect all the liquid? and after that do I need an extra procedure to start the engine or just be sure that the cooling liquid has the right level?

I already replace the hose and everything runs well. Nevertheless I have one question the hose in the part that comes out the thermostate area is touching one of the caps of the distributor wires. As far as the hose and also the rubber of the wires of the distributor will have high temperature I wonder if this is normal or not? By other hand there is not much space left to reposition the hose, even if I try to displace it a little they will touch each other again.
