Which Porsche 914 caliper was used? I know there are two rear calipers for the 914;
1970-74 VW914 4-cylinder S & SC models with 33mm brake piston.
1970-74 VW914 6-cylinder model with 38mm brake piston.
Just for information, these calipers are still available new, in England they cost around £100 or 1140SEK.It´s the 914/4 calipers thats are used at the 99. The arm for the handbrake has to be modifeid since the porsche is a little bit different.
Cheers Johan, that’s good to know, in this situation i think it’s important to choose the correct caliper because the piston is much larger in the 6-cylinder model and this maybe would cause the rear wheels to lock up too easily when braking.
