Hello,
I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Simon and I live in England (near London) and I have had a passion for Saabs ever since I could drive! I am a member of The Saab Enthusiasts UK and help to put the Club magazine together (I am the Art Editor)…
http://www.saab-v4.co.uk/speedball/topic.asp?topic_id=3571This was my first Saab – originally beige 95
I turned this
into this
This is my current project…
I’ve made some small modifications
And this is what I hope it will look like (although maybe not as low!)
Please excuse my lack of Swedish (none), I cannot believe I haven’t been here sooner! I hope to join the Svenska Saaklubben very soon too.
Thanks in advance,

Yes they are the same style as angel eye headlights, but quite basic compared to the BMW version, they were designed for the Mini…

I no longer own the orange 95, I sold it about 3 years ago. The last owner fitted airbags and Porsche wheels!
I am in communication with the new owner though, so hopefully I will see it again one day!
Very welcome!
Really nice ride the orange one!
The last picture is kind of schizo….but i still like it!The pickup has been at Coltech Classics this week, getting some bits and pieces done.
First it had to get through an MOT, but two balljoints later and some other minor bits and pieces and it’s road legal again.
Smaller screen in place…
Work on the bed cover has started
Not only does the bodywork curve from front to back, the tailgate is also curved…
Getting there slowly, lots more planned, but run out of time at Coltech for now.
Got some slightly better photos from Paul today (retrieved my camera I’d left with him)…
70’s window aperture removed
60’s version welded in
Grafting in a LHD screen meant the wipers were slightly out of place (thanks to John for sourcing an extended wiper mechanism!)
I asked Paul to reinstate the spoiler, even supplying two spoilers from donor cars.
On closer inspection (after the filler had been removed), most of the spoiler was still in place, so a little grinding and welding here and there – and voila!
Still a whole heap to do!
