Found this nasty little hol over the weekend…

Does a patch panel exist to help repair it?

Welding is fun – like meditation of sorts.

this is gonna be an exciting project to follow! I too have seen the pictures of the orange 95 before, that was some inspiration for myself when I was working on my 95!

                Bit more progress…

                Rusty door triangle removed

bit tricky to weld here – as brass used at factory

tailgate needed external handle area grafting back in

                starting to take shape

Looks like it might be ready for collection!

Nice, man. Wish I could weld like that.. everybody’s got to start somewhere…

Fancy both this project and the orange estate. Keep on welding 🙂

Finally getting somewhere with the bed cover…

                          it now does this!

with the help of some Vectra (yeah I know – GM stuff!) bonnet hinges.

I plan to finish it in a waterproof material – like mohair, but cheaper – which is the same stuff I used for the sunroof on the orange 95.

Great work. I just loooooove those customized 95’s.
How is the tailgate opening ? Sideways ? (that would be unexpected and cool 😉 )

Hope to see you in Sweden in that wonderful creation.

                              nice ride.

Is this one of the Aston-Martin saab 95 project series? Most of them were RHD. Guys that had to work in the body shop first had to convert a saab 95 into an pick up that was used on the property. In the netherlands there is on pick up from this series. Recently an article was placed on the Saab magazine form the Saab cluB Netherlands

It’s not one of those, besides I’m not sure how true the Aston Martin story actually is. None of the Saab guru’s in the UK have every heard of them and when I asked Aston Martin they had never heard of it either!

Took the pickup to the Bicester Heritage Sunday Scramble last weekend. the range of cars there was astounding and will definitely be going back there in the future!

And a small selection of the event itself…
